Rear Brake Light don't work.
Hi to all. I have a 2000 F150 2 wheel drive and the rear brake lights are not working. But whats weired is it that the Center High Mount Stop lamp does work.
Where do I to look for a solution. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I do have the Haynes repair manual and by looking at the wiring diagrams I've traced the wires for the brake lights to go to a MLTI-FUCNCTION Switch. So does the third brake light connect to this switch. But where in the vechicle would this switch be.

Its in the column. check for power to ground. It could be a ground issue in the bulb. Also there is a connector at the back of the truck in the driver side framerail that could be an issue. Most likely its the turn signal/multifunction switch. Do the hazard lights or turn signals work? The 3rd brake light does not function from the MF switch. The brake pedal switch sends a signal to the MF switch and also directly to the 3rd brake light. This is why you see alot of cars with working CHMSL but not regular brake lights.

Thank you guys for all your help and yes the problem is at the multi-function switch. The multi-function switch is good, but the problem was the connector to the switch. All I did was push on the connector and the brakes lights came back on.
