Switched over the Hikari H13's from the 2020 I traded into the new 2022 today. As luck would have it, one of the Hikaris stopped working somewhere in the transition. I think one of the pigtails may have twisted. So I'm fudging it for now. I left working Hikaris in the bottom and put 2 of my old Beamtech in the top for easier access when I have a permanent solution.
I checked Amazon and Hikari has a new style bulb I'll probably order.
This listing mentions an upgrade program. I've posed the question on Amazon asking if the bulbs I ordered in October 2020 are eligible for the program and am awaiting an answer.
Has anyone used this upgrade program? If so, any details?
I was able to contact Hikari customer service by clicking on the Sold By Hikari Technology link within the listing. They've offered me a 20% off coupon. Waiting to receive it so I can try out their new HyperStar.
Something to consider if anyone has Hikari they'd like to update. Or, if you're like me had one go bad. But in all honesty I think it happened either during removal from previous truck or installation into the new one.
Let us know what you think of the hyperstars. They’re supposed to be brighter than the ultras although I read some reviews that the beam wasn’t as good and other drivers were flashing.

At this writing I'm still waiting for Hikari to send me the discount code so that I can order. Wife is out of town so I've been driving her Chrysler 300. The new truck has only been down the county road that I live on a half mile or so a couple of times to test headlight adjustments. So far the Hikari in the bottom and the old Beamtech in the top seems to be pretty good. But I haven't been out on the highway with them yet.
In the meantime I attempted to install some yellow fogs that I had on hand. A tiny pin that keeps the 3 tab plastic collar from rotating around the bulb was broken so I scrapped that project. Ordered these from Amazon -
They got back to me with a promo code. Right now it's not working and the transaction shows the full amount. No credits that I can find anywhere on the Amazon account. So I'm still on hold until I receive an answer on that question.
2 years ago, after reading all of the threads on LEDs (thank you for the research/info that you shared) I bought Techmax bulbs based on what I read in their specs concerning light output/etc. I'm fairly well pleased with the light output but I what I'm not so wild about is what they do to the FM radio performance. I bought 2 sizes of ferrite chokes but their effect on the situation was minimal. The Techmax bulbs are fan cooled, which I initially saw as being a positive thing but I'm not so sure that's the case. The fans are loud enough to be heard while the lights are on and the truck is off, and I suspect that they are the cause of the RF noise.
I have a 2005 Buick Lacrosse, which I inherited from my parents, that I use for a daily gas saver. When I got it the low beams were horribly inadequate and the high beams were burnt out. I replaced the low beams with high output halogen bulbs and the high beams with AUXITO brand H9 LEDs. The LEDs had to have a right angle connection due to the design of the housing. They aren't fan cooled...no room for a design like that...and they have no effect on the FM radio. The halogens are yellow, "weak" and not what I've become used to. I'm pleased with the performance of the AUXITO H9s and may try a set of them in the low beams.
I'm seriously thinking of trying a different bulb in the truck, ones that are not fan cooled, to see if that's the source of my RF noise. I didn't see any mention of fans in the info that you listed on the new HIKARI bulbs.

It's something I don't really understand. Some have complained of radio noise or flicker, others have not. Strange. The Hikari Ultra that I currently use have fans but don't seem to affect the FM radio.
As to my discount code trouble, I notice that they sent me a code for Hikari Ultra, which I currently have. But I'm looking to move to Hikari HyperStar so maybe that's why it didn't work. I've notified them so I'll see how it turns out.

The radio interference has nothing to do with the cooling fans. Beamtechs destroy radio reception and are fanless.
Maybe they did for you. But I had Beamtech for a couple of years before switching to Hikari. Not a second of radio interference the whole time.
Interesting. I should clarify the beamtechs that caused interference were in a different vehicle, not my super duty. Those beamtechs were of the same line that folks use in super duties though. I replaced them with hikari thunder bulbs (less powerful than the ultras, but still have a fan) and the radio interference went away.
Hey @Poncho450 I got a notification that Amazon is running a lightning deal on those new Hikari's today - 15% off
Damn the luck! I clicked a coupon link on the listing and ordered them for 10% off yesterday. They kept sending me messages telling me they were sending me a 20% off coupon code. Every time I tried their code, it failed and full price was shown. That happened 3 times with 3 different codes.
Finally gave up and took the discount that was readily available at the time.

Glad that you found a solution. Some had radio issues and some did not. I don't know what the difference between Super Duties would be. I only know what I saw posted.
