Looking for the Ford bracket number off of a 1985 e150 (with ac)4.9 that houses both the air conditioner compressor and Saginaw pump .much appreciation .TR
Well I thought I would look in my 80-89 parts catalog and there appears to be several different options. There is dealer installed and factory installed.. one diagram comes from the power steering section while the other two come from the AC section.
If one of these diagrams helps and maybe shows the part you need the number for,, I can go back and try to find the list with the part numbers, I have not learned how to use this manual yet and so just have to hunt through it...
I will be leaving tomorrow for a out of town trip and wont be back for a few days...
Annaleigh , thanks ,great info as i am in no big hurry for this ! Trying to convert my 85-f150 to the saginaw pump as for a while being told I need the bracket from the same year van .This would be factory air not dealer .TR
Hi Black Ford XLT,, Hopefully NumberDummy will reply back. I just got back home yesterday and today I glanced through my 1980-1989 parts catalog where the diagrams came from. Again I am not very familiar with using this PDF catalog but cant find the list with the part number for the full part numbers for the brackets you need. I bought the catalog on CD for my personal use but share what I can here to help... NumberDummy as you probably already know is the master at this!
Those diagrams above are the only ones I could find in the catalog. I did not see one that shows the PS pump and AC compressor together.
On the diagram it shows "illustration Section 197.1..... Then normally I would look in the part number section of the catalog 197.1 but there is no 197.1 section the catalog .
The catalog is 2 sections part A is part numbers and other info while part B is the illustration section.
Black Ford XLT, I came across a thread where NumberDummy posted some information that may be of help.. I do not know if the brackets are the same with or without AC and am not sure about the information NumberDummy posted, wither it applies to with or without AC but might be worth you looking at unless you have already read the thread.. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post16855666
Thanks , I am narrowing it down to what year vans to search in junk yards .Per that info posted ,1984, 1985,1986 eco online vans with the 4.9 with factory air conditioning .Seems most yards around here only carry 87-96 vans .
Thank you for your time/ help and the illustrations posted . TR
here is a site I have used a couple of times when I couldn't find the parts locally. They are also listed by distance from your zip so you may find something not too far away.. One good thing about pulling the parts yourself is that you get to acquire all the special flange head grade 8 bolts and ect...
If you find the part then of course you are ordering from the individual yard.
I saw PS pump but not bracket listed.. the listings show the phone number for each yard so you can call and talk with them and let them know you need the Saginaw pump brackets from a van with factory AC.. (bolts too!)
Thanks ,
I have been using that site for a couple of years, live chat is sketchy at some places and it’s best to call by phone .Currently going to a couple of yards not listed there. If no luck .I shall return to the site and call each yard and if they have the pump/brackets ,hopefully the will ship .TR
