Ok guys, I have seen the other threads and really seen no answer. I have a 2022 I bought new. 6.2.. 6 speed... It has what sounds like cam phaser tick but only it the cab....right around 12 to 1500 rpm. I have seen other people/ posts but no one has given an answer to the problem. It now has 1500 miles on it. It driving me insane LITERALLY. Don't want to waste my time at the dealer if they are calling it normal.
One guy somewhere on a post mentioned he had a tick and the dealer fixed it, had something to do with the intake. He mentioned it in passing in his post, it wasn't the topic. First I had ever heard that before.
I had two 6.2's in a row (2017 & 2019) that ticked/knocked and Ford couldn't fix - Ford/dealership bought both back. Search the forum or even the Internet as a whole, this is extremely common. Amazing the 22's still have the same issues. Mine also had the intermittent slow crank as well (Fuel Pumps didn't fix either).
One of the posts was mine, and the YT vids too.
Drives me insane. It seems to be louder in the cold and I'm just waiting for something to break so I can say TOLD YOU SO.
It's NOT normal, if it was then they ALL would have it.
I'm going to check the Intake now though so thanks for that!
Thanks for posting this. I thought it was all in my 70yo head. My '22 F250 6.2L 6sp does it at low rpm. Not loud, if I have the radio on, I can't hear it. Following!

I thought about taking it back to the dealer but they are an hr away and tried pulling some shady ****e after I bought the truck over some custom plates on another truck I traded in.. told them to pound salt so I'm not sure how cooperative they'd be

Same here with the radio lol... But I am very ocd and I know it's there ...radio or not! A brand new truck shouldn't be making what sounds like engine noises
An engine noise you can only hear in the cab? Sure it's not an engine or transmission noise? If not the engine/trans, try turning of the HVAC fan and see if the noise goes away.

Depends on the relationship between the two departments and the overall management.
Typically, the service department doesn’t care about what happens in sales as long as the situation doesn’t effect both departments. At the end of the day, it’s all about each individual departments profitability. You’re probably fine bringing the truck in for service where you bought it.
Same noise noted, in the cab also. It’s related to engine speed, & most notable upon deceleration. I’ll double check with the hood up. 2021 F350, 6.2L, 4x4 SCSB, 1800 miles.

Yup sounds like the old cam phaser tick... Upon acceleration between 12 and 1500 rpms. Really bad when it's cold...damn near sounds like a diesel. BUT,,, I can't hear under the hood..only get the sound I side the cab. AC is not turned on as it's winter time...unless it runs constantly. It has done it since brand new... I figured it would disappear after reading other topics some say it has. Then again all the forums I read haven't given clear answers. Idk... Maybe I'll try the dealer
