Correct. If not your gauge is off to begin with. On a "stone cold" motor the EGT's should read darn near ambient. If it's say 100⁰ off before you even start the motor for the day you could be running way hotter/cooler than you think you are

Thanks so much guys. Unfortunately, they don’t make my monitor anymore and/or that specific probe plug in, & I don’t want a different monitor. Then I came up with the idea of hardwiring a new sensor in then I found one with the same wiring. So that’s what I’ll be trying
