I hate to beat a dead horse but I'm doing some upgrades on a 96 351w. It's going to have a Weiand stealth intake, 600 edelbrock carb and gt40p heads with the trick flow spring kit installed. . It's in a 70 f100 4x4 with a c6 trans, 31 inch tires, and 3.50 gears. I need a torque cam ( 1000-5000). I was hoping Paul could give me a roller cam recommendation. BTW I already have the p head exhaust header issue solved.
Thanks for the quick reply. I almost pulled the plug on a tfs stage 1 but my gut instinct said it was too big for me..
Yeah, the converter stall would need to be higher and/or a taller rear gear for that cam. The TFS Stage-x cams are great off the shelf pieces if you're using aftermarket heads.
I've worn out Google the past few weeks. It's hard to get info for a non retrofit roller cam for a carbed 4x4 combo. Theres even guys that keep a stock cam and use 1.7 rockers OR advance timing chain 8deg.

The cam you suggested won't ship til April 2022. What's your thoughts on just using 1.7 rockers on my stock cam? I'm not rebuilding the engine because it runs like a top now I just want a little more power. My p heads should help too.
Headers look good, I too am getting ready to put a pair of P heads on a 351 and wondered about the headers. As for the cam I chose the comp cams 35-235-3, it's one of their extreme 4x4 cams (flat tappet) 1200-5200 rpm range. It's going in a '77 2wd supercab with a zf 5 speed... I've got a Scat 3.85 stroker crank but I may keep it on the shelf an use it when I've got the $$ for better flowing heads as I don't know if the P's will keep up with the added cubes. I figure 5000-5500 rpm is plenty for what I want to do. Dunno but it's nice to have something to occupy my simple mind while it's colder than hell out there.
