hey yall. got a 91 f-150 with a 302. the problem? well say i start it up and drive into town, a 20min. trip, then i turn it off go into the store for like 6min. and try to start it up again...it dont happen, i have to wait almost half an hour before it will start! but once it does it runs great...except right after it starts it will rev up a few sec then idle again like 2 or 3 times. otherwise it runs great! whats the problem!? i thought it would be fuel injectors but could it be a fuel pump or some kind of regulator messing up my air fuel mixture??? please help me! thanks yall

When you say it doesn't start.......do you mean it cranks but doesn't fire, or the starter doesn't spin.......or what? Depending on which it could also be a heat soak problem...
it cranks, its not the starter, im pretty sure its fuel related but not sure what. heat soak? im interested to hear that because it seems like it wont start til its cooled off...
Normally I'd say to check your fuel pressure, easy enough to do with a carbed system...dunno about fuel injection. Could be vapor lock but I kind of doubt that since it will run untill you shut it off. I had a problem like this some years back and it ended up being a pos fuel pump. Maybe somebody knowledgeable about fi can help you...you might also try the carb/fi forum.
If you starter is engaging and spinning the engine, its not heat soak...its spark or fuel. My money is a gremlin in your fuel system.
its definately flooded, i think yur right there brother. is there any adjustment on it? how could u fix leaks into the cylinder? i guess id probly have to buy a new one but it would be nice if i could adjust it or fix a leak somehow. thanks alot buck! appreciate all input!

Sorry, been gone a few days. As far as I know, once they go bad you can only replace them. No adjustment possible. I don't even really know what all that would involve, I just know several people that have had to deal with that problem. Of course now this reply is so late you probably have already figured it out. Let us know.
