The off pavement places I take my bumper pull trailer would cause your fifth wheel to destroy the bed of your truck.
Now, that is. VERY good point! I can see the importance of a bumper pull trailer in a situation like that. That’s why I want a flatbed dually so bad! No more having to worry about caving in the top of my bedsides!!
Interesting. I knew that there was a delay, but I didn't realize it was that bad. I don't have to have a truck immediately as I still have my old 250, but would like to have one by the spring for camping season. Old truck will still pull it though. The 5.4 needs exhaust manifolds again....
My F350 DRW Platinum with 5th Wheel prep was ordered 9/11, build date 10/13 and delivery 11/18.
Unless you must have a flat bed, for hauling rocks, grain, mulch, or whatever. You could always add rails in the future. In an aluminum bed truck, the rails give me a place to tie down the heavy objects I sometimes haul. I have a set of straps that fit the slots. I don't trust the tie downs and Ford connect in the aluminum bed.
