Adding a front camera…

I have been really thinking about adding a front camera to my 2019, not a “dash” camera but one in the grille or front bumper that can give me some visual when parking and/or maneuvering in narrow spaces. So I’m considering the easiest ways, I did search the forum but I did not find anything specific… I’ve seen a great install here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/member.php?u=813550, but that is definitively above my pay grade…

The first idea is to use the connection to my roof-mounted back camera. I don’t use a 5th wheeler so that camera is redundant, if I could find a connection of the roof back camera somewhere in the truck that I could disconnect and piggy-back a front camera that would be a great solution, which will allow me to have the feed on Sync without any other trouble. Anyone has done it? Is it feasible?

Other solutions would have to use another screen, which is not ideal since when I’m towing I already have the trailer TPMS and a 8” trailer back camera monitor. Only possibility would be to have a wi-fi camera with a central mirror monitor, but I’m not sure those are reliable enough…

Suggestions?

NAV-TV makes several interfaces that will allow you to use your factory screen to view your cameras. Here's one: https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT831/mft-fcam.html

If you also want to change to aftermarket radio, it’s a straightforward connection. A lot of them has dual or more camera inputs. I did mine 2 years ago this way. Also my kenwood radio has a camera button on the panel where I can quickly access the front camera with a single push. I find it very handy as many times I would need the camera view immediately when I need it.
