I'm in process of adding an aftermarket front camera. Just had it mounted on the grille. The grille is very easy to be taken off by the way. I'm going to connect the RCA end to my 2-din stereo (to be installed..) which has dual camera support.
What would be the best location for connecting the power? Add-a-fuse (10A?) to the engine fuse box? Which fuse? I was thinking about an upfitter switch but it seems overkill since the 2-din stereo has a CAM button that can be pushed to activate the camera. Thoughts?
Take a look at the attached PDF.
"In addition to the upfitter switch blunt cut wires, this bundle contains the following blunt cut circuits"
Run/ Start Output
Battery Hot Output
They are 20 amp but you could lower them to 10 amp if needed.

Thanks a lot! This is great info. I think I will use the Run/ Start output. How to lower the 20 amp to 10 amp?
Run/ Start Output is connected to Fuse "F3" (see page 1)
The relay/fuse pack is on the Left hand side (driver’s side) of the engine compartment (see Fig. 2) and the location of F3 is shown on page 5.
The fuses just pull out, I'm not sure where you can get spare fuses.
