I have a read a few comments that an 2001 F250 Lift will fit the same year Excursion., can anyone comment on this to be true? Thanks, (IE) Rough Country F250 4" fit an Excursion. .
My understanding is yes it will fit but it will end up being 2” higher than the truck height lift amount. Excursions sit roughly 2” lower than the truck counterparts from what I’ve heard. You might have ride height issues in the rear as well depending on the lift height since and Ex had more constant rear axle weight than a pickup

Yes, the F-250 lift will fit under an EX, they are pretty much indentical suspension wise, with the exception that the wagons got lower springs from Ford to keep them more civilized for the soccer Moms. So like was said above a pickup 4" lift will provide closer to 6" of lift on an EX, keep that in mind as too much lift for your chosen tire size can look a little leggy.
Which engine does this EX have? If a gasser, going with significantly taller tires will sap the performance some, deeper gears will bring that performance back to where it is now or even better.
yep, expect 2 extra inches, the shop i went to miscalculated mine, my 6 inch lift ended up being more like 7.5 because they used a SuperDuty kit even though they claimed it was an excursion specific kit. lies.
I actually think they may have used a kit from an F350 SRW, because i put on my 30 ft trailer and drove to the next town over to get lumber recently, and realized as i was walking into Lowes, that even with the trailer on, I could not see any sagg at all on the rear end... Like zero...
Thanks to all for your input, I thought this was the case. The previous owner said it had a 4" lift but didnt know the brand as he didnt install it. When I looked at it, I was worried as the tracking bar had OEM bracket which seemed odd to me. So I elected to change the lift kit. Also had 4" blocks at the rear axle.
Doesn't the 4" Rough Country lift also use blocks for the rear lift?
So besides the stock track bar bracket, were there any other issues with the lift? Bump steer? Binding?
You can verify the amount of lift by measuring from the center of the hub to the top of the wheelwell arch opening, do this at all four corners parked on a flat level surface, then compare to the stock measurements listed here.
The most popular 4" lift around here (this forum) these days is the ProComp all spring lift, Pirate has all the bits and pieces needed listed in a few threads, many owners here have installed this setup and are very happy with the results.
I saw no other issues, but I needed start from scratch for my own piece of mind. I have the Rough Country 4" for a same year F250 all springs no lift blocks. I contacted the company because it shows a lift blocks but have not heard back.
