Hello, Im new here
I have a 2017 F350 drw, crew, long bed. Im looking at deleting it mainly to try n improve mpg more than anything. My mpgs seem to be getting worse. Im sure partly due to winter fuel and my foot is getting heavier lol. Ive also read that there are huge benefits to longevity of truck. Ive looked at a few kits but really not sure. Do i need egr kit or just unplug? What tuner should i get? Should i buy the kit or separately, and what kits are recommended. I tow a 5er towhauler. Live in NC and travel to NH alot riding sxs. Any info would be very much appreciated. Im just not sure where to begin
Discussing delete info online is not a good idea because it publicly exposes shops and manufactures. Since 2019 the EPA has been breaking down and going after the companies that make these products. Most supplies have been pulled from online stores and are hard to find. Your best course of action is to find a local shop that can make those parts disappear on the down low, but you might need to know a friend of a friend of a friend to get in.
Or do a search of this section and see the users who respond. I'm sure the ones who are deleted will push you in the right direction. There are delete threads in here so you can get some direction. If you do a search, you can find a few sites that still do.
I believe if you have 10 posts you can PM someone.
Big ticket item here is to be sure to get something to read the engine vitals, save all the parts that fell off as you drove down the road and ensure you know how to refresh the factory tune should it become missing.
No 3.55. When i bought it i was averaging 17mpg. And bout 12 mpg towing. Now its 15mpg w bout 10.5 towing
That sounds normal to me. I get around 14 to 15 in my F2350 SRW truck. I get the same as you pulling a 13,000# 5th wheel. Deleting it will not give you better fuel millage. Your truck only regens ever 500 miles or so. I am not sure how much fuel is used but I bet it's less then a pint
