While moving the power mirror around to adjust as needed, both mirrors will move the glass but only a small amount. I can hear the electric motor moving but the glass does not, it will move with the slight push of the finger to assist it. Happens on both sides. Been working normal for the last four years. Any ideas?

You'd think that with both mirrors exhibiting the same weakness it would be the circuit that feeds or grounds both position switches and mirrors. I wonder if the defrost works off the same circuit, and how that is. Also if there is a voltage drop somewhere that is delivering but not enough.
It sounds as if something is disengaging, some times they work a couple of times , full up, full down, etc. but then they don't work yet you can hear the motor driving. Wife thought maybe its a cold temperature issue, (mid thirties F).....but they always good before, even below zero.
That would be nice huh............... Odd they both worked good, then both had a problem at the same time that was an individual problem with each. Let us know how the fix turns out.
Yup, same happened to the guy in the video...both mirrors-same time. Assuming some kind of lubricant has "dried" out?? And the mirror just binds on the dry rubber pad plus straighten out the pins. Getting into winter now so I might not get to the fix anytime soon..........but when I do, I'll definitely post back.
UPDATE on fix. I followed the video and sure enough that was the cure, I wiped down all mating surfaces that slide against each other, applied a low temp tolerant lube to same mating points. Took me ten minutes each side (on my driveway).

Lucky you huh.... This forum is a great resource. Good to see it was painless
