Reliable Daily Driver

I am considering getting a 1992-1997 7.3 f250. I want to build the truck to have modern comforts in the older style. I don't care about making a bunch of power but would like to got through the motor to make it as reliable as possible and fuel efficient as possible. And I want to keep that modern reliable upgrades throughout the truck. What I am asking is what are the things throughout the truck that I should upgrade and where to look at these things. Also what have people done to the interior to modernize that? Want this to be a very well done truck that meets the modern standards in ride quality and comforts of modern trucks. Want to be able to tow and use it as a daily driver if I choose to without constant issues.

Also I am in Charleston, SC so if there is a shop that y'all could give me some recommendations that has done this kind of thing please let me know so I can reach out to them to help in this process.

Thought about putting the 92 -97 body on 99-03 frame and engine, may be cheaper route.

What do you mean by “modern comforts” specifically? For myself, I find my ‘97 seat and driving position to be the most comfortable of any vehicle I’ve driven. The only “modern comforts” that I would personally be looking to add would be a Dana 60 + RSK to soften up the ride, and a Bluetooth stereo system. But what are you looking for?

There would be minimal benefit to trying to swap an OBS body on a SD frame, in my opinion, if you’re looking for interior upgrades under the heading “modern comforts”.
