I've been building out F250 / F350 CCSB, 4x4, XL, and XLT trims for the past couple weeks. Started noticing some changes during lunch.
- XL build has no option to add carpet, used to be there for $60
- XL build, the 110V AC outlet used to require and add Sync3 - no longer does this, you have to add Sync3 separately
I haven't been thru XLT build yet to see if anything looks different on it.
Is it normal for Ford to change up option packages mid-production like this? Maybe they are updating the site or maybe it's just a glitch in the matrix?
Something else I just noticed. The description of "Privacy Glass" has changed when adding Rear Window Defrost.
Just yesterday in this thread I added the below screenshot when adding Defrost. The description said "Add: Privacy Glass"
Today it says "Add: Rear Window - Privacy Glass"
ETA - something else I noticed.
On an XL, before selecting Rear Window Defrost (to get Privacy Glass), you can see thru the windows, both rear and side doors.
When you add it, you can't see thru the rear window anymore, but can still see thru the side door. Which seams like it's only adding privacy glass on the rear and not the whole truck.
Same view on the XLT, which has privacy glass standard, you can't see thru the rear and side door is noticeably darker.

You are right, the carpet option is gone. It required the STX package to add but the entire option is now gone.
I recall the AC outlet option always being available by itself ($175). When you add Sync 3, the outlet is then included. Makes Sync 3 a bargain at $450 as it also includes the 4.2" IPC

Nah, at least over the past couple weeks when I've added the 110V AC outlet it popped up and said Sync3 was required at $450. Several times I'd debated how bad I wanted that outlet due to that.
Now adding the Snow Plow Prep to an XL gives the below pop up. This is on a 7.3 truck, which comes with 240A alternator. Does the same thing if I add Snow Plow / Camper package.
If I add Snow Plow Prep to the same truck, but an XLT, it just adds it with a $250 increase in total price.
*** Never mind - only does this if I also have the Upfitter Switches selected. Without them selected, it add with no additional requirements (tho I don't remember this happening before).

also be careful with the build and price, it’s definitely not right all the time! You might be able to configure a truck then go to your dealer to order it how you built it and it won’t take it.
And don’t put too much stock in the pictures. If you build an XLT and look at the interior picture it shows a rear center armrest. Does not come in an XLT so you could argue false advertising. Ram is good enough to give you one in a Big Horn though.
I've been tinkering with 3 different saved builds over the past 2-3 months. After reading about the upcoming price increase I went back to the Ford site yesterday to finalize an order only to find that my Saved Builds were eliminated, replaced with notifications that the configurations were "no longer available".

Should have added that the 3 builds were Lariat, KR and Plat F350
I just checked and found both my saved builds no longer work on the Ford website so I guess that is due to the build & price changes. I just rebuilt my Lariat Value Sport and to get the $165 upfitter switches I now have to add the dual battery and larger alternator for an additional $450~
