'52 F1

Well, it looks like the '59 is gone. Perhaps someone on the list got it?

Anyway, I'm going to look at a '52 tomorrow. It has no engine but still has a 3 speed tranny. It seems to be pretty complete.

I'm thinking of either popping in a junkyard 302 (with the right adaptors) while learning how to rebuild a flathead engine. This is just to get the truck mobile so that the city won't threaten me with fines (as they had done with my F100).

Does anyone have advice on what to look for when I go see the truck tomorrow?

Also, I saw a 302 adaptor plate yesterday on the auction site, but it's gone now. Is there a source for them?
