Where do you buy these style mirrors that use the original holes in the door? The only place I see that even sells them is LMC (I think they
use the same holes) and they are out of stock. There are lots of similar ones for sale but you have to drill new holes.
Before I drilled a new set of holes in my door, I would hold out for a repop company to get some in stock. Beg your FTE buddies to part with a set, or it any one has just one extra they can part with and or hit up a local JY.

Broken glass or just looks bad due to rust staining, etc?
I was recently looking too, but after finding none, decided to rehab mine for now as I had already long ago fixed the new doors with holes and nuts inside and determined not to change the holes. Then ... I broke one. The other one was scratched years ago. I found new slip in mirror glass at "Mirrorglassplus.com" #2214 was perfect for my type 9 mirrors, so cleaned up, put new glass in both mirrors. Glass on these is just held in by the rubber gasket in the lip. Most of OEM is stainless steel, but there is some steel in the top friction lock and the nut serts in the door, maybe bolts too ... and the ball ended stalk and ball socket inside the head.
I didn’t think they were so hard to get. I will probably work on my original ones. Sand the scratches out of them. The glass looks okay. Add it to the list.
Shaun,
I also was looking but decided to wait for shelves to stock back up.
I used 600 paper and WD40 and worked them over.
Actually came out surprisingly well.
