P0488 triggering Edge Insight DTC
Good day and thanks in advance for any feedback!
I have a 2004 Excursion with the 6.0 and have recently started seeing a P0488 DTC on the edge insight monitor which is turning the screen on the monitor orange, although the check engine light does not illuminate.
Are there any alternatives to replacing the EGR valve to prevent this DTC from triggering and the insights screen from turning orange? I was surprised to find that a Motorcraft replacement is $200+ and it serves no real purpose on my vehicle.
