I don't think that the "Luxurious comfort" of the 78-79 Ranger Lariat can be beat. My isn't the nicest out there, but it is a work in progress, slowly being improved as time, money & parts allow.
dunno about nicest interior, but mine is starting to look like a 70s kenworth Inside.. and a late 70s JC Whitney catalog outside... lots more work to do. Seat, carpet, lift, wheels, tires.. I'd love to find a good original sport wheel, and a clean bezel for the shifter and t case.
It's the XLT cover from Mac's. the seat buttons are original though they didn't come with it.
Damn. I get the feeling I'm gonna need some of the seat buttons. Anyone reproduce em? I don't mean to hijack the thread... but im lookin at lariat seat covers and im fairly confident they won't come with the buttons either.
No they never come with buttons, and no they aren't reproduced.
There are two styles in this era, the ones in the picture are correct and then there are some that are more square that were used in 78-79 headliners in some cases. I was missing one but I found a couple on ebay . you can change the vinyl insert to your vinyl with a little work so color doesn't matter as long as you can find them at all. as far as I know only XLT's had them .
