Sounds normal for 5L.
A single clacking sound louder on the passenger side is the high pressure fuel pump about the middle of the valve cover. It is operated by the exhaust cam.
Take into consideration the valve covers are fiber composition and will not dampen sounds like the old motors..
The intake is fiber comp as well. The oil pan is comp as well.
As far as runing smoothly, it should.
The noise should not be heard very much or at all in the cab.
You just have to get used to it.
Enjoy the power and 10 speed.
There is a lot to learn about the truck and what the shift modes can do and auto Stop / Start if you have that..
I'm wondering about the coolant level? I don't see any color in the white plastic tank.
Good luck.
All good to hear. I have around 6000 miles on my 2020 5.0 XLT and it is noisy compared to what I’m used to. Mine does seem to idle a little rough in traffic sometimes.
