All new winch set-up for a little over $500.It’s removable and can mount in front or back of truck and locked up when not in use.Primarily will be used to yard firewood.At 75+lbs it’s a heavy bugger though.
I've never had a winch that mounted like that. Will the winch mount be able to withstand any pull from the side or is it more or less limited to straight pulls?
I've been looking to do something similar on my '16 but don't like that hitch hanging so low. In fact, the bottom would sit about 4" below where my air dam is now.
Looking online, I really like the Torklift hitch that comes out of the factory bumper.

Agree that it’s on the low side.Going to get a receiver extender with 4 or 6” lift.
When I mounted the receiver on the truck I went cheapest ,fastest and easiest.
I have the Torklift on my 2019 f250. It was fairly easy to install by myself. Would have been easier with a helper. Cant tell its there with the front license plate adapter that comes with it.

It looks like a really good unit. I also like the idea of a 1000lbs tongue weight capacity. It would be very helpful for moving my travel trailer in its tight parking area.
