I haven't been able to fill my gas tank in about 1 year without pulling the purge line off, and I'm about sick of it. Pressure builds up in gas tank and I can't find where the clog is.
I believe has to be a clogged line because I've already replaced every component in the EVAP system at this point.
1. Replaced the Vent Solenoid (Which for some reason had shorted out at electrodes)
2. Replaced Charcoal Canister (Which for some reason was completely compact and clogged at the vent line)
3. Replaced the purge solenoid just for good measure.
I pulled off both lines to the vent valves on front and back of gas tank, blew into them, and there was no clog on those. I went to gas station pulled off hose that leads to vent solenoid so that air could escape... still wouldn't pump, so it has to be before the charcoal canister and isn't the vent solenoid.
It couldn't be the filler neck or siphon ball right? Because when I pull the line on the purge valve it pumps fine. So I feel like a clog is the only plausible explanation. Is it Okay to blow out these lines with a compressor? Would it mess up Canister? Really need some tips and tricks here por favor.
This was what the Charcoal Canister looked like, just for and giggles....

Similar filling problem, poor millage too. Trying to replace EVAP Valve solenoid 00 2.5L
Did you stick a vacuum hose on vent solenoid to make sure that was the issue? Was it throwing a code for the vent? my issue seemed to be some kind of clog in filler neck. After I had given up on every other possibility I just took a steel spool of wire and just snaked wire through filler neck and the corresponding vent tube seemed to fill after that.
