I have a 2011 Ford f250 2WD. When I go to pump gas the gas won't go down at all.
So I disconnect the vent line where its accessible and blow air down the both ends hoping to remove any obstructions. After blowing air in toward the tank, it seemed to do something because the back pressure in the tank started to hiss back out the vent line. Went to fill up and still the same thing, took me a half hour. Anyone have any similar issues with this particular year and model??
My 13 did the same thing. It started clicking the pump off randomly and then over time became impossible to fill with gas because the tank wouldn't vent. It would literally take me 25-30 minutes to fill with gas because I had to go so slowly.
Replace the charcoal canister and you'll be back in business. I did that and it was back to normal.
It wouldn't hurt to replace the EVAP purge valve at the manifold while you're at it.
