Ordered a 6.2L F350. First gas truck I’ve had in a while. Has anyone added aftermarket muffler(s) or exhaust? Do want loud just a nice throaty rumble that’s not obnoxious especially inside the truck. I have experience with Magnaflow systems and I really like them but I don’t see much on their website
Not to side track this discussion, but I was just reading the "what's new" section for '23, and it says that manual regen, OCR, whatever the term is, is standard for '23. Am I the last one to notice that?

That's one good thing I have seen about the 23's then. IMO, this should have been standard on any of the diesels.

Sorry to siderail the original discussion. But does this mean I can Manually start a Regen while parked? or can I manually trigger an active regen while I'm driving when I know I have a long drive?
I could care less about triggering a regen while parked. But I'm interested in triggering one if I'm close to full on the DPF and I have a long drive ahead

OCR is made up of 2 parts.
1. DPF % screen
2. Auto Regen On/Off
The thing to do is to turn the Auto Regen off and then keep an eye on the DPF% load. When you hit 100% you turn the Auto Regen back on and go for a drive until the DPF% is back to 0%. Then turn the Auto Regen back off and do it again.
When you hit 100% you will get a notification saying to clean your exhaust filter soon. At that point if you are parked you can enable a manual (stationary) regen. If you are driving, just simply turn the Auto Regen back on and let it do it's thing.
It's worth knowing that there is also a mileage trigger. It's 500 miles. The thing to know about this is that once you hit the 500 mile trigger you can then trigger an active regen while driving down the road by turning the Auto Regen back on, no matter what the DPF% reads. Considering this, by the time I hit 90 - 95% I am well over the 500 mile trigger, so when I hit 90% I have plenty of time to plan a longer drive in the next couple of days to complete a regen.
I'm cheap, well in some instances. I have a Scan Gauge II from back in my 6.0 days. I have PID's set for EGT1, EGT4, Oil Temp, and Regen ON/OFF. I have OCR active on mine. When my dash says 100% full, I hit the Auto regen on the dash. The EGT's climb and the ON/OFF shows ON. Let it go until dash says 0%, and click Auto Regen off. I have a nice little loop I can drive, about 20 minutes to complete the regen. Most of the time I can do enough passive I don't need to but this time of year (cold here) with more idling and less pulling it needs to regen. I am tempted to see how far I can go after the 100% message before the truck gets mad at me.
