I have a 2017 F350. Fuel gauge and warnings show empty with only 27 gallons of fuel usage. My understanding is that the tank is 34 gallons. I understand leaving some wiggle room to not run out... but 7 gallons is annoying.
I have ordered a 2022... wondering if this has been corrected?
I was able to pump 28.5 gallons into my 2022 34-gallon tank at my first fill up when the 50 miles to empty warning popped up.
Old issue. Here's a thread mentioning the TSB ... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post18031698
There may have been a revision to that TSB (or a second TSB) to address trucks built after 4/1/2017. Ford wants several gallons left in the tank in order to prevent the in-tank fuel pump from overheating.
