While reassembling everything, I noticed my negative cable was really corroded and very OEM looking so I changed the cable. Now, I wanted to start the engine to make sure my timing is correct and everything is good before I throw the whole front back together. I opened the cab, no lights. I put the key in the ignition, no dash, no radio, no display, no click, no turn over. I thought it might've been the battery, however a test determined mine was completely fine and the terminals are clean. The wiring is ran as such, and from what I can tell is correct so far; Ground to fender, ground to frame to bottom bolt that secures starter to engine. What am I missing?
Did it run before you replaced ground wire? What else did you do besides replacing ground?
White/Lt grey connector, looks ike TAB connector, your other looks like its seen its best days years ago, see pic below
For some back story,, the engine was pulled due to leaking seals. The engine ran before it was pulled, which leads me to think everything should still be operational.. I now have crank, but no start. I went through the process of timing the engine. The fuel rail has plenty of pressure, the inertia switch is fine. And the firing sequence on distributor is in correct order. The distributor is not sparking, but the rotor (which is new) turns. Does this mean it is a cap issue?
