transmission swap
i have a 1990 f250 7.3l diesel and tranny is shot what models have interchangeable transmission?

If it is a two wheel drive truck, the E-Series trans is interchangeable. You MUST get a trans from a diesel truck from 1989 through 1994. The 1995-1997 models are a bit stronger, but you will need to change the torque converter and solenoid body to use these. Newer than 1997 takes more involved changes to make it work.
