Carpet Delete

Hello,
I'd like to ask about "Carpet Delete". Probably not the time to ask since I ordered the truck in May. Order date is 6/2. Original build date was in July and there have been many extensions to that. Current is 11/18 but still in Order Processing so that's probably not a good one either. So not going to change but probably should have researched a little better before ordering.
I ordered Carpet Delete with All Weather Floor Mats instead. On the Ford Build and Price it seemed like that was the only option to get factory All Weather Floor Mats. So I believe the codes are BBHAA to not install color coordinated carpet and BAYAC to install All Weather Floor Mats. Does anyone know exactly what this ends up looking like? I'm thinking about the edges where the mats don't cover. Is there just bare painted metal? Or is the whole visible floor covered in a mat? If anybody has this option and could share a pic that would be great. Would also be curious how many trucks are ordered this way? Not asking to have it added to the spreadsheet though (unless it's already there and I'm not seeing it?).
Thanks Much.
Jared

I ordered 2 similar to this way over the last few years. One I am waiting for and still not produced.

I think you are asking if there is visible metal inside? No its just vinyl where carpet would go.

The floor mats are the same as carpet but made from rubber. The all weather option ones extend further over to the door I believe, I would probably order these if getting a lower trim level to make sure it comes with mats/posts to avoid any potential for that later.

The carpet delete means you’ll be getting vinyl floors, I chose the same option but haven’t received truck yet. If you do the 360 view on the Ford build site, you can get a little glimpse of what they look like.
I’ve seen a few pics on here where you could kind of see them in background but not a good full shot.

I recently got my SC with the carpet delete. Like @Joe T said it covers the entire floor right up under the sill plates just like a carpet would.

I absolutely love it. It will make it a lot easier to clean up when camping or hunting.

Carpet delete was an absolute proper choice for me. It’s great. Any floor mats that come with truck get stored for when I get rid of truck in a few years. Weathguards go down. Fords all weather don’t have coverage.

This thread has a few more good pics of the carpet delete option. I also did a carpet delete on my 22 XLT and love it! I went with the Husky X Act liners and they fit great!

If you travel with a dog, carpet delete is a must. My 2020 had carpet and even though I had mats that covered everything possible, dog hair gets under the mats and particularly under the seats and along the exposed areas. Now in my 2022 with carpet delete and rubber liners, it's a simple wipe down with a damp cloth and everything is clean. Unfortunately we lost our travel companion recently but it is still easy to clean mud and dirt without a vacuum.

Another vote for carpet delete.
I bought a truck off a dealer lot in 2015 with this option. I did not expect it to become a must have for my future trucks. Cleaning dirt and mud is just so quick and easy. I will never own a truck with carpet again.

Truck Carpets...

Just out of curiosity, does anyone think having carpeting in a truck is a good thing? Would you not own a truck unless it has fibrous fur, mud and muck collection material installed below your feet? I spill stuff in my truck, but I can just wipe it off with a paper towel, sponge or handwipe. Is there some hidden advantage to owning a truck with full carpeting?

The only positives I've heard people talk about with having carpet are "resale value" and believing carpet quiets down the truck. Neither of these are notions I'd subscribe to or be willing to put up with carpet for even if they were accurate.
