I had no idea you could get the carpet delete in higher trim trucks. I thought it was an xl only thing. If I ever order one it’s not getting carpet. I bought my last two super duties used. ( let someone else take the hit in depreciation.). It’s a good thing to know. I buy the full weather tech mats right away with my trucks so very little carpet ever shows.

I ordered my Lariat with carpet delete for that very reason. You cover up 90% or the carpet with vinyl floor mats anyway and I didn't want dog hair in the remaining carpet that could be seen.
I've been looking at images on the internet "Super Duty Carpet Delete" and there are quite a few however it's not always clear which apply to the SD models. So looked at the Order Guide and it has different descriptions for XL, XLT & Lariat and King Ranch, Plat & Limited. Summary screen shots attached. Can someone attach a few pictures that would apply to a Lariat? Ideally 2022. IE what's the difference between "Black Flooring" in the lower 3 trims and "Vinyl Flooring" in the upper 3?
Youll love the carpet delete. Even if you use the truck as a DD youll be glad not to watch the carpet get destroyed.
I deleted in my Lariat so I think thats a lower level than what comes in the KR and Plattys. But Its great.
One thing to consider as everyone talks about ease of cleaning. Water goes straight into the sill. If you pull up the plastic sill plate youll find an aluminum channel with wiring harness.
Theres no way for the water to get out. I found with my 2017 450 after hosing salt out that I had electrical glitches for a few hours after.
Then I spilled bleach in the rear of my Lariat and while hosing and generally panicking to get all the bleach out on the passenger side I found all the wiring harness sitting in water.
I drilled a hole near the front so it could drain. Then I coated the hole in fluid film.
Ive also seen 2017 and up SDs in the shop with electrical glitches and found mud and residue in that channel.
By the way... what do you think my rear carpet would look like after spilling bleach right out of a cracked jug?
Theres no evidence on the vinyl.
