96 Ford 150 with 5.8 engine
PS: I don't want a race truck, just one that is little hotter than stock.
You can add as much as your budget will allow . Maybe a K&N Air Filter , Some folks add higher output ignition systems , freer flowing exhaust systems , I think you can add a larger diameter throttle body on your engine ? A computer chip to free up some Hp . Im sure what I suggested is just the tip of what you can do . Its one of those deals that if you have the cash , someone has a place for you to spend it .

Also, check sticker in door opening for axle code. Code 19 is a 3.55 open, H9 is a 3.55 limited slip. Don't remember sticker codes for other ratios, but if you give us the number, we can look it up and tell you.
I have a '93 Bronco with the 5.8L. With the stock exhaust, it had about as much get up and go as my 4 cylinder Ranger.
So, after finding some rust rot in the tailpipe, I went to Carparts.com with a nice $100 coupon (look in this month's Popular Science) and bought a Gibson Performance Exhaust system.
Nice muffler, 3" smooth bend single pipe all the way from the cat back. The muffler slid right onto the CAT, and all the hangers matched up with the stock rubber donuts.
Very nice sound, not too loud. But what a difference in performance! NOW the 5.8L *feels* like a 5.8L should. I wouldn't have believed it, but evidently the stock muffler has lots of restriction... or rusted up on the inside?
Anyway, the whole cat-back system was drop shipped for $270. Best bang for the buck IMHO.
Good luck.
Mike
