I agree with others; you are F-350 SRW territory for the payload requirement. I too highly recommend the 7.3 with 4.30s as well. The 7.3 power and curve is much better than the 6.2. Go long bed to get the bigger gas tank as well! But honestly I’d go F-350 6.7 diesel if I were towing 80% of the time.

If the truck will be towing 80% of the time, I would very highly consider a dually. Even with a lighter fifth wheel, there is an enormous difference in stability. I would also consider the diesel. Not just for the additional power, but also for the engine brake, longer range, and better mileage. It is an expensive upgrade, but the towing experience is very different, you'll save a bunch on fuel, and probably get the remainder back on trade.

As soon else said, I would also think twice about a 4x2. They do ride better, get better mileage, and are simpler. But if you think you will ever be off pavement (even a little) towing in 2WD can be a real challenge.

Specifically on the engine. I towed a 10,000 GVWR 5th wheel in a 2019 F250 w/ 6.2 (in sig) for a couple years. The engine did ok and I would do at best up to about 8.5 mpg on level, no wind trips. In the hills and wind it got bad. In the harder hills or higher wind it was a real struggle and I'd get down to 6mpg. Think about it... in a nice windy day, you're running about 6mpg. Fill up that 34 gallon tank and immediately shows you just around 200 miles to empty. That's terrible. Top it off with navigating small fuel islands for gas every time and big travel days turned into a painful grind.

Being in FL, and depending on your type of road trips, it might not be an issue. But I'd strongly recommend going bigger on the engine. I have my diesel on order just for this reason.

Another data point, my '22 350 XLT CCSB has similar options (I didn't get UTT or sliding rear window), 7.3L, 4.30 gears, 11300 GVWR; 18" A/T tires and camper package. Came in at 4100ish payload (don't recall the exact number offhand).
