Tracking down ujoints

Looking for a rear ujoint for a 1969 N700. It has the two speed rear axle I think it is 18000 capacity. Will check on that. Have been to all the local parts stores and have not had any luck. Even a cross referenced replacement part number would help a ton. The old one is broke in two, but I was able to measure a cup which is 1.5 inch.

thanks!!!

I would thank that would be easy at your local supplier? Also thought joints for an ag machine would be easy. Well it was from the dealer. Only problem was they were only available as a constant velosity assembly for about $400.
Measured them with a dial caliper and ordered from The U Joint Store. Found them on line, ordered on the phone. Joints were odd ball metric stuff but they had them in stock in Ohio. Price was fair.

Might need some more measurements, but it could be a C1TZ-4635-A, which is known as a type 1480 joint.
It has a 1 3/8" cup diameter, can't find one with a 1 1/2" cup.
1480 is 4 1/4" overall, cross measures 3 7/8" x 3 7/8", cross pin diameter is 57/64".
That seems a tad light for your truck, but it's not a 500 HP diesel, either...
Got a picture of whats left of the joint? - should be the same as the front joint.
This is all sort of a guess - I was cross-eyed after going thru about 200 pages of driveline part numbers in the parts manual.
NAPA search: "Spicer 1480"
What is the wheelbase of your truck?

Thanks for the replies! I finally got the old u joint off the truck. Was a two day operation, never seen straps so rusted solid into a yoke. No fun.
The cups are in fact 1 3/8 diameter, and from end to end, it is 4 1/4 inch. The last measurement is the closest I could guess as the u joint itself is in pieces. The old part is stamped as Spicer USA but no other marks. I am guessing it is a 1480 5-188x but I have nothing but measurements to back this up. Oh and the wheelbase on the truck is 132. I know what you mean about going cross eyed from the Ford master parts book. I have not had a lot of luck with it on my computer. 13 inch screen does not help much.

late to the party but....
Perhaps your width measurement is 1/16th off and it is actually 4-3/16 x 1-3/16. If this is correct this would be a 1410 series U Joint.
In the 1410 series Spicer's part numbers are:

5-160X greaseable - grease fitting located in standard position
5-1410-1X greaseable - grease fitting located on end cap
5-1410X non-greaseable

all are available on line and at your local auto parts store just request them by part number not application.

Hey Robert,

thank you for the reply, and you are correct. My measurements were off a bit as I was trying to get them off a u joint that was broke in half. Ended up pulling the front one as well (which was old but still in one piece) and taking it to a parts store. Wound up with a 1410 spicer 5160x. Fit just fine. I will say that the parts seller did not want to sell me the part as he could not cross reference it on his computer, but with the old part it was fairly obvious.

Again thank you for sharing this info,
