Angry Help!!!

I bought My 2019 F150 XLT in April this year. No accident according to dealership. My truck has warranty. I've noticed after heavy rain, there was water under my driver seat. I dropped off my car at the ford service center and they told could be windshield seal problem. Once they took glass out, they told me it is not the seal problem. We found crack. I haven't heard from ford. They told me they need to discuss this with headquarters. still dont have rental car...its been 6 days.

My question is does anyone has similar experience like this? or have you seen like this?

Welcome to FTE, @sceottsather

That's the upper roof seam, right? I've heard of this. They have to get authorization from Ford. Do you have the giant sunroof?

Defect truck is an oxymoron. The question is how defective, lol. Kidding of course, I also have heard of some cracked windshields, maybe stress related? Getting these fixed quickly is not a joke, I hear horror stories. Good luck.

Man, it took me a few minutes to wrap my head around the angle of the picture. I couldn't get it turned the right way in my brain.

I haven't heard/seen another like this, but I'm sure you're not the first.
I remember sveeral years back there was a guy that had a tear that he couldn't see until he pulled out his plastic bedliner and another that had one in the door jamb.
If the dealership is 'certified' to work on aluminum it shouldn't be any problem for them to fix it.

It does suck though!

It’s actually an easy fix. The robot that welded or bonded the panels together missed something or it got tweaked before paint and assembly.

The fix for a crack in metal is to drill a small hole at the very end of the crack to keep it from spreading, then weld the crack shut. In this case TIG or MIG. I’d go TIG, so there wouldn’t have to be paint work on the entire roof, just the area of the repair that the new windshield will cover.

Worst case scenario, the paint the entire roof panel.
