Got the box back on my ‘66 project. The box isn’t original so I am trying to get it back in the right spot. Below are photos of the gap between the box and the cab with the bed lined up with the original bolt holes in the frame.
A 2” gap between the bed and the cab seems rather large. I don’t have the bed back on our 1964 either so I don’t have a truck to compare it to right now.
Just seeing if anyone has a truck to take measurements from real quick. I would like to slide the bed closer to the cab just for astetcs but I want to see what other trucks look like first.
My 66 cab to bed measurements are:
-Top of bed below rear window measures 3/4" gap to cab.
-1" gap between cab and bed at the 1st style line, just below gas filler.
-1.25" gap at bottom of bed to cab.
I just looked at my '66 styleside cab to bed clearance, and there is not enough room to put my hand in between the two. And the indentations in the box bulk-head match up with those in the cab rear.
