Question

'65 lights wiring short

My headlights just started to "self dim" while on the regular setting (not brights), also the instrument panel lights stopped working, then the lights cut out but I could make them come back on when activating the foot switch. Do you think the floor switch is the culprit? This has never happened before in the 33 years I've had this truck. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

My guess would be the headlight switch....a lot of contacts in there that can get worn and dirty. See what others say, though, before you throw parts at the problem.

Thanks, resonateur. I replaced the dashboard light switch a few years ago.
