64 223 Oil Pump pickup
Hey all,
Currently in the process of rebuilding a 64' 223 from a F-100. Having difficulty finding an oil pump pickup. From everything I have found, there are 4 different oil pumps on these 223's. And the 64 was a one off year. Calls for an M67A in the Melling book, but Melling conveniently left out the pickup tube and screen. Wondering if anyone here has info or a picture of the 64 pickup tube? I have seen some on here for a 54, but sadly they looked to be for a rear sump pan. This oil pump is in the front, and from what I figure, it should just be a stubby J hook design that floats below the oil pump. Still relatively new to rebuilding these older Fords, so take it easy on me if I'm missing something obvious lol.
I do not have the old pump and pickup to compare to. Block casting is a C3AE 6015 AC. My old AERA book shows a C3AE-AC block casting being 54-64, so I am just going off my customer's word that it's a true 64 block. The M67A pump fits perfectly, I just don't have a pickup tube and screen for it.
Again, any help would be appreciated... Fingers crossed I'm just missing something obvious, and someone here will enlighten me
