This is more of an FYI since I couldnt find much info on how to replace the IPR valve on a van with the 7.3L PowerStroke engine.
So with the aforementioned engine in a van body, the IPR much sits under the windshield and is pretty hard to get to. I was rebuilding the turbo anyway so I figured I'd try getting to the IPR from the back of the engine once the turbo is off (along with the pedestal). Anyways, this approach made it very easy to get to the IPR and the only difficult part was figuring out that the IPR connector has a metal retainer that must be flipped up (like an injector connector) before it can be disconnected.

Thanks for posting that.
Everything is so much more difficult on the 7.3 in a van. Are you using the stock air box? I relocated one of my batteries but have yet to put a different air filter there.
Currently i have what i think is a bad pcm. I should know whats going on with mine this saturday.
Finnish stroker on the 7.3 subforum has a cold a cold air intake where his topside battery was. But he removed his ac and relocated the windshield squirty reservoir. I hoped to fit something within the space my battery was. But havent found anything that fits.
