Apologize if this has been covered and discussed but I was unable to locate any previous info.
I'm in the market to replace the rear glass on my 1975 highboy and need a new gasket; Im not really price sensitive but am quality conscious.
Whose product is the best? Any to absolutely stay away from?
Is is:
Dennis Carpenter
LMC
Rubber the right way
Steele Rubber
Precision
Other____________
Precision fit all the way around for the truck I have been rehabbing. Like a few others have mentioned too, my experience with LMC has NOT been satisfactory.
And I will add AutoKrafters in the mix... no experience with their windshield gasket, though everything else I have gotten had been quality.
I haven't unsealed them yet, but have both the windshield with narrow lock strip and a solid rear glass rubber to use with my slider when we get to those steps, they came from LMC, Ihope they are OK. My buddy who's doing it says they work well for him? I hope so.
Sounds like Precision is widely accepted as a good fit and LMC is the “stay away from “ product
unfortunately for me, Precision does NOT produce a rear window with trim gasket.
im stuck with Dennis Carpenter or Steele Rubber at 2x plus the DC price.
thanks for everyone’s input.

Update:
I ended up going with the Rubber the Right Way product and it fit PERFECTLY. High quality and made in the ole USA.
