Warranty Issue
New here looking for help with a problem. I have a 2019 super duty diesel. Bought used 20k or so. I searched far and wide for this truck new and used finally found what i wanted. I also wanted the extended warranties to go with this truck. I want premium care as well as diesel care. The diesel care being helpful for the 50k miles after the longest premium care warranty expires. I paid $8000 and change for these warranties i have a sales contract for the warranties. But when i went to get my tailgate latch replaced because the it wouldnt open i was told i didn't have premium care. I was instead given a maintenance plan. I called ford warranty they said i had a charge on the maintenance plan and it had to be reversed in order to change it. The dealer that charged the maintenance plan said they cant reverse the charge. So now im stuck. I never asked for a maintenance plan and i have a receipt for premium care but i don't have it. My fight with this is actually more detailed but I don't want to be more longwinded. In short what I'm looking at from you guys is someone that can help me navigate this.
I had never actually looked at the DieselCare plan, assuming it was all covered under the PremiumCare. I see now that it provides engine coverage for longer but does it cover more parts than the PremiumCare? Purchasing both plans, even at a discount, is a good lump of $$.
You probably would have been much better keeping the $8k in some interest bearing account to use if the truck breaks down.
