I'm imagining myself spending time on the phone with a Ford rep to help them debug their app... that I could just not use. I was getting e-mails from Honda telling me that my wife's Passport was due for an oil change in (xx) days because it was at (xx) miles. I even got text messages... until I blocked them all. Now, I have to look at the dipstick and the odometer to figure out if the oil needs attention. Life does not have to be so complicated.

The truck will still tell you when the oil change is due, it wont give you the % on the screen. I have heard the newer trucks do have the oil life % on the screen again.

Yes, the oil life percentage is shown in the maintenance screen.
I need to find the fuel filter life percentage though.
So, talked to the Ford Pass rep just a few minutes ago.
He agreed that my app posting 43 low DEF messages was an issue, but since I re-filled the DEF tank and the messages stopped, it would be a problem for them to diagnose the issue.
The rep opened a case, gave me the case number and said to call back with it the next time the issue happens and they will look at it live.
As to the DEF level gauge and miles to empty showing up on the app, he said they are probably experimenting with adding that to the app and not everyone is getting it yet.
And, it is not just a SYNC 4 deal, 2020 and 2021 owners have reported it showing up on their Ford Pass app, as well as 2022 owners.
So, will be checking it out the next trip I take, will let the DEF level run low again and see what happens on the app.
So, made a job trip over the weekend, and I let the DEF run down low, and yesterday on the way home the Ford Pass app gave me 18 low DEF messages in the span of 2.5 hours. So, same deal again as the other day.
Got tired of it and stopped and added a jug of DEF.
Now, the DEF was low, I guess, although the gauge was still showing over half before adding the jug.
My truck has been going through DEF like it was free the last two trips.
Called the help line for Ford Pass, they had me delete and re-add my truck, basically resetting the app, and I'll have to try it again.

Just had my 2020 F350 into the dealer for the exact same reason. Their response on the paperwork was normal operation to protect the truck.
very irritating we put on a lot of miles. 36,000 miles in 12 months. Gauge is slightly over half when the Warnings start coming
also on Ford pass app DEF level “something went wrong message” But it used to work.
There was another update this week. Friday it acted up and finally last night it loaded. It show a screen of can I tow this..its a calculator based on your input.
sort of oddddd.

Deleting the truck from the app and re-adding it didn't help.
Let DEF go low, got 37 low DEF messages in the app within 3 hours.
I turned off notifications on my phone for the ford pass app so it would quit dinging my phone every few minutes.
That’s interesting. The DEF gauge has been on my app since picking the truck up September 24. No issues to report either. I don’t use it often but it has worked as expected when I pull it up.
IMO Ford Pass is of marginal utility. It's more of a way for Ford to try sell you something.
It also tells Ford exactly how your truck is being used, where it is driven, when you are towing, when you are speeding, when you are applying the brakes hard, etc.
All being recorded, big brother is watching...

Looking under Driving Data / Journeys is an eye opening experience. I expect that Ford gets the data whether you use the app or not.
