The engine wiring harness on my 1985 6.9idi is completely warn out. The wires have been splice and tangled all over the place. I would like to replace everything, but cant find a proper diagram for it.
Things I need to know:
Is the injector pump the only thing I need to give power to for it to run, and what kind of fuse should I use for it?
How do I wire the 60 amp alternator and voltage regulator?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Here's some of your wiring. The fuel injection pump is on the right upper side of the diagram called "fuel shut-off solenoid". It's all fed from the blue fuse link V in the center.
If you look down the list, you will see pages 23-26 are diesel, as well as 47 thru 51 and a few others.
Look at the top diagram in my first reply. Look at fusible link V. Below it, it says "page 24". That tells you where it comes from. The second reply that has the ignition switch is page 24 and it shows fusible link V. If you look below that fusible link picture with the ignition switch, it says "page 47". Page 47 is the diagram in my first reply.
