My First Ford

Ordered my first Ford ( F350 DRW Lariat ), on Sept 30th. Got the email Ford had accepted my order. How long am I going to wait before I get it ( approx timeframe ). Nothing special to it. I read some threads via Google search that the Adaptive Steering was a hold up ( I don’t think it’s standard on Lariat and I didn’t select it ), and spray in bed liners were a delay. I did select that. Was nervous to buy a Ford because have had friends get the “death wobbles” in the front end. Any insight on that ? However I was told was the dampers, and more so in the 250’s than 350’s! Thanks in advance for the feedback

They can get death wobbles, like anything with a solid front axle. The secret to avoiding this is keeping up on maintenance, mostly keeping the track bar in good repair. From your description above, it looks like you didn't add 4WD, so you should be good. In a nutshell, don't beat your steering parts and keep them maintained.

Welcome aboard!

I did get the 4WD. I just forgot to include in description! Thanks for the heads up. I live around a lot of “horse” people, and guys that pull heavy equipment. There are a lot of guys using the fords and I assume most haven’t had that issue!

Welcome aboard and congratulations! This has been a great resource of material over the years and we have a pretty cordial group of folks relative to a few of the other venues out there.

Yeah, they probably haven't.

The ones I've personally seen with speed wobble were worn out and/or not maintained very well.
