Ford Maverick 2022
I ordered the 2022 Ford Maverick. This my 1st Ford Truck. I got one email from Ford that it was ordered 3 weeks ago and no follow up. I don't have a vin # or order number. Is this normal? I just don't want my order to get lost in the shuffle. I need this truck because I'm borrowing a friend's vehicle while it comes in. When does Ford start production on the Mavericks? Any freebies (engraved personalized coffee cups, knives, Ford wash towels, ball caps, car charger s, ect..) from Ford for trusting Ford to provide us with a new truck?

In these quite uncertain times manufacturing and any deliveries of new vehicles will greatly depend on how well the supply chain is or is not equipped and staffed to produce new products.

The let's keep our customers in the dark is the wrong mentality. The dealership knows the least about a target date for my vehicle. They are the least inclined to let me know about the process. Why can't someone at the top who knows, send out a blanket statement like 10 days till we start production and we are hoping to have the 1st Maverick assembled and delivered by September 15th. Ect ... Let's get our Ford customer s excited about driving again!
It's possibly there isn't anything to share at this point?

This is a brand new model being made on a brand new assembly line in Mexico at a weird time in history when random parts shortages are messing up production for virtually every model of every brand of car. Did you just arrive here from another planet and miss this news?
You are taking this WAAAY too personally, OP. If you want a vehicle right now, buy one off a dealer lot. Anything that the dealer or anyone else tells you is probably going to change for reasons beyond their control.
