Truckstock folks may remember me icing my foot at the end of the day. I thought I was healing up, but the MRI showed a fracture of the heal bone. So this is my perch for the next month.
Lesson learned, if a mountain lion is trying to attack a bear in a tree, you can’t save everyone, especially when the alligator is going after your foot. Fortunately I was able to glue my foot back on with some crazy glue.
Truth…I don’t decorate for xmas anyway. But I did get out of doing the dinner dishes tonight. I’m glad Tom , @pineconeford offered to clean my rain gutters. Can I get a volunteer to rake up the leaves?
I remember that Bob. So you finally went and got an X-ray? Did it keep getting worse from overuse? Or was there some trauma to the heel?
It was that damn mountain lion...or was it that fall from the tree when I was saving the cat? or maybe when I was saving that nice old lady from getting run over by the bus? I don't remember.
Seriously. It's a stress fracture, no single injury but stress from favoring the heal spur. It didn't get worse, but it didn't get better either. 2 xrays showed nothing, but the MRI showed a heal bone fracture. I don't know the actual cause, but I do know this boot sucks.

The big problem I had with the boot and a sprained ankle, is that it didn't match any of my shoe heights. So the ankle and foot felt better. The back, hips and knees started hurting.

Yeah, that’s already a problem. The orthopedic supply has a different boot on order for me with a thinner sole that may help.
