2001 F-150 Tranny Problem, Help!!!
I am the owner of a 2001 F-150 SuperCrew with a trailer towing package. In September I had to place the truck in the shop for tranny problems. I was told that since that particular tranny ran hot, Ford made it mandatory to install an inline cooler/filter to the tranny. Now, the truck is in the shop and they state it is for the 2nd. to 3rd. piston screwing up. They rebuilt it and during the test drive it went out again. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Also, is this problem common?
