I have a 2008 F350 SRW- crewcab - 4x4 - 8ft bed- 6.7 turbo diesel. I weigh it with a full 30 gal tank two adults plus 100 in extras,I weigh 9200lbs on the scale. According to,the chart i should weigh 7227. With two adults at 190 and 170, fuel 250 and 100 extra I should be close to 8000 lbs. Whete is this extra weight???

Everthing is stock, not sure what trim would add. Bumpers tires stock, spray in bed liner. Appreciated you trying to lead me to,these things, I just can't see were its coming from

Your chart has a curb weight of 6346 lbs for my 2008 F250 4x4 supercab truck. My trip to the scales gave me 7240 lbs with driver (not sure how much gasoline). Ok, subtract 180 lbs for driver, add weight for accessories (trailer hitch, on-board air compressor, larger tires, extra sound insulation, etc). Still seems off as was your findings. It does cut into the available payload when using the GVWR as a ceiling.
I also have a 2009 FX F350 CC 6.4 4X4 that is pretty much stock. EGR and DPF delete and airbags and bed liner. With a half a tank of fuel I go across the scale anywhere between 7960 and 8000 without passengers or accessories.

So is it true that 4 wheel drive adds 800 lbs to your gross weight?
6720
+800
=7520
also if you have a diesel does that also add to weight? If so how much is a diesel engine 6.4 weigh over a gas in a f350
I think this is what happens to bring the GVW, THEY LIST WITH GAS AND NO DIESEL ENGINE.

I have gas engine and XLT so doesn’t seem to explain difference for me.
As I viewed this post numerous times yesterday, I thought the same thing.
No separate listing for gas versus diesel engines.
I believe my 7.3l weighs more than a gas engine.

The lack of correct numbers isn't totally surprising.
Looks like 11,500 is the max GVWR for the F350 SRW 8' bed crew cab regardless of engine and trim package. The numbers listed are all the optimal/best numbers that Ford wants the customer to see. It's what makes the sale!!!!
For reference, the 6.4 diesel engine weighs substantially more than the gas counterparts.
The 6.4 is listed as having a weight of 1,130lbs with oil. (REFERENCE). The 6.8 V10 was the larger gasser that was essentially a 5.4 with 2 more cylindars. The 6.8 has a listed weight of 625 lbs dry (REFERENCE). I did see an unofficial weight for the 5.4 at 540 lbs. If that's true, add in 7 quarts of oil for another 12.5 lbs and the 5.4 would weigh about 553 lbs.
1,130-553 = a 577 lbs difference just in the engines. Diesels also have other requirements. The gassers came with 1 battery, the 6.4 had dual batteries and that's another 48 pounds. Now you're at a 625 lbs difference between the 5.4 gasser and 6.4 diesel.
