I'm actually in a bit of a bind here. I was on my way to pick up a project car from GA, and while engine braking down a hill with an empty trailer, the low oil pressure light came on and then all hell broke loose.
Engine is seized.
Stuck on the side of I-24 between Nashville and Chatanooga mostly to Chattanooga
AAA can tow me as far back home as Nashville, but they won't pull the Uhaul trailer.
If anyone can help me out with either storing my truck while i make arrangements or something, i would be very grateful.
If you have the ability to get the truck to Glendale, AZ, either ship it, or tow it, The shop that did Dauntless charged $5000 for the full rebuild, including removal and reinstall, just get the whole truck to them, 2 weeks later it drives out under its own power with a zero miles engine.
So after having a little more time to investigate this, I am 99% sure that the oil pump died

that's a pretty good deal for a reliable engine.

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone down in that area. That hill is serious business for sure. @thor363 might know someone down near there.
yea, I looked at the signage on the way back, it was 6 miles at a 7% grade.

it would not just be the basics rebuild wise either, they bore 030, sleeve, new pistons, new rods, resurface everything, fully rebuild the heads, they re-use the crank if its good, but even then they have it turned and resurfaced, if its shot they will find you a replacement.
A friend of mine had his V10 done at the same shop, and they discovered somehow, his intake manifold was actually cracked on the aluminum, they notified him and worked with him to track down a replacement, they didn't just throw it back in as is. They go over everything really good.
When mine went in I had them also do the Injector pigtails, throw in a new all aluminum radiator i had drop shipped directly to them, and they didn't charge me anything extra for it.
Not sure why I just thought of this, but you have one of the best engine machinists in this part of the country in your back yard. With luck, Urb is still working at Stone’s Farm Service. He did all the work on my Cummins and turns 17hp mower engines into 70hp pulling motors (on a lawn mower, it’s a thing). He’s also known for valve grinding. If you’re looking for a motor guy, he’s it. I haven’t had contact with him in several years, and he’s getting up there in years, but he’s super. And honest.
Update: A transporter is scheduled to pick up the truck today. the tow yard is paid. $1100 to get it home.
I still only have $3000 tied up in the truck as of yet, lol. I'm not doing terribly financially on this thing.

Stone's Farm Service as in the Stone's farm service with a NAPA attached that I drive past on the way to work every day?

That would be the one! Urb works in the back but I'd give them a call to make sure he's still there. I think he's probably pushing 80 if not older. If he's not there any more, the next question I'd ask is who took over his job.
