Gas can rig up

My 1995 Ford f250 long bed pickup truck fuel pump went out is there any way I can rig up a gas can at least to get it to the shop so I don't have to pay for a tow

Not without risking a fire. You would also have to cut into fuel lines or disconnect them, and have a pump that made the right pressure.

Pay for the tow.

YouTube show Vice grips garage does this often. Not sure it will work well with fuel injection.

I ran a boat fuel tank with the primer bulb moving the truck to the shop when I had the fuel tank out. If it's more then a mile I think I would just have it towed. Better to be safe then on fire.
