I have my remote start climate settings on “auto.” When I remote start on a cold morning, the heater comes on and my steering wheel heats, but my seat dues not. When I punch the start button, the seat heater shows full power and begins heating. Is the seat supposed to heat on remote start (before I hit the start button to enable driving) , or is mine faulty?!
this is timely
it was 38 here this morning i did remote start on way out. it had turned on seat heat and rear defogger and defroster selected
mine is set as auto.
had to turn seat off before i got out of driveway
Yup, mine turns everything on, seat heaters to high as well.
And, as stated above, have to turn those seat heaters off or down right away!

Thius may but it. Not sure I knew I had to specifically turn on the seats. And yes,,,, I can’t leave mine on high very long.
OK - I checked my settings and they are correct. Maybe it takes longer on start-up to heat the seats. My seat heater lights do not illuminate until I hit the start button. Is that normal??

I have an XLT Premium. On several coolish mornings I have remote started the truck and found even though the "brains" are "off" there is a little bit of cabin heat running and the seats are just a little bit warm. Turn the key on and all the brains start up, and the heated seats go to highest level on the drivers side at least. Sweet Wife says her side is warm enough.

Yes, there is no indication until the truck is turned on by key or button.
