Question Speed (Cruise) Control

Hey y'all looking for some help identifying this Speed Control setup on my 77 F150 460 C6 2WD with a Holley 80457 600 CFM Street Warrior.
Take a look in the picture of the brake pedal (never mind the blue painters tape, that's my to do list).

Closest I could find in the scanned Shop Catalogs from Detroit Iron is this:

SPEED CONTROL--DEALER INSTALLED-PERFECT CIRCLE DESIGN
1979 ALL

9A837 SPEED CONTROL RELEASE SWITCH ASSY.
Part # D9AZ 9A837-A

P.O. has a few 78 and 79 pieces on the truck so wouldn't put it past him to have used a 79 design.

What I don't have:
No steering wheel pad to verify if it's got cruise control.
No Amplifier on the firewall (I do have the EMISSION THROTTLE POSITIONER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSY. mounted to the steering column support that I originally mistook for the amplifier)
No Amplifier in the passenger compartment
No SPEED CONTROL REGULATOR ASSY. in the engine compartment
No SPEED CONTROL RELAY ASSY. either

I haven't checked the Transmission nor Carb against these pics yet but can post pics tomorrow if that helps.

This is one of the last things I'm trying to fix, replace, or remove before getting it running this month (eliminating possible electrical fires while the Mystery oil sits in the cylinders).

If I can tape off the wires and ignore the Speed Control for now, I'm fine with using my foot to control the speed.

Thanks ahead of time for your help. Don't know where I'd be without this site—I try to search first, ask second but admittedly should have asked more in the last year of getting this thing straightened out.

I say just get rid of it and install a modern one. To much stuff going on with the old one.

On a dealer installed CC the turning signal stalk/lever get an added on control switch via a wire. The CC control is NOT built into the steering wheel horn pad, like on OEM CC set up.

If you do not really really want or need CC, take all the stuff off and be way ahead of trying to source the parts, to maybe get it to work.

Check the link below I have some CC diagrams in there somewhere. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...then-some.html

See post # 57, 99, 110, 226.

I’ll take a look at those posts. Sounds like I’ll be removing it though.

Any recommendations for aftermarket one?l for the future?
